When Sarah Geronimo’s POP Studio first dropped, one of the very first things we checked out were—of course—the lipsticks. We were curious: Are they demure and low-key, like Sarah behind the scenes, or are they bold and show-stopping, fit for a diva onstage?

Well, we all know the answer to that now: They’re both.

The POP Studio Matte Lipstick & Lip Balm, P249, for starters, features six matte shades ranging from a classic nude to a fiery (but totally) wearable red. The formulas are highly pigmented, and dry to a healthy-looking matte finish. Even better: It comes with a moisturizing balm to nourish your lips so the color glides on more smoothly!

Choose your hue! The shades are named “Hits” and flatter a variety of skin tones. Aside from individual tubes, you can buy the lipsticks as a 3-piece set or a 6-piece set. 

The POP Studio Liquid Suede Creme Lipstick Duo, P349, meanwhile, comes in three variants, with each tube containing two rich liquid shades that you can use separately or together.

The complementing shades in each tube can be worn separately or together—your choice! Tunes 01 feature pinks, Tunes 02 carry browns, while Tunes 03 is all about reds.

Our Verdict:

These lippies surely are climbing up fast on our chart-toppers list!

The POP Studio Matte Lipstick & Lip Balm has a velvety powder matte feel to it that’s comfortable on lips and doesn’t feel dry, even if you apply it without the lip balm. (But we suggest you use the lip balm for extra smoothness!) The pigment goes on richly but you’ll need a couple of swipes for full coverage. Plus, the shades are really all wearable, even Hits 01, which is a cool red.

If you’re looking for longer-lasting color, though, you can opt for the POP Studio Liquid Suede Creme Lipstick Duo, which drenches lips with intense color that dries to a satin finish—and stays put! We also love having easy access to two colors in one tube, especially if you’re on the go. Perfect for day and night!
